Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with endorsements in both Special and General Education specific to the Pre-K age range
• Experience working with young children, particularly those with developmental, behavioral, or communication challenges
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in Special Education
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to varied learning needs
• Comfortable providing physical assistance, including feeding, toileting, and diapering
• Familiarity with non-verbal or low-verbal communication methods is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment for preschoolers with a range of needs
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide specialized instruction in both group and one-on-one settings
• Assist with daily living skills, including feeding, toileting, and diapering as needed
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure consistent care and progress
• Support students in developing communication, motor, and social skills, adapting techniques as necessary
