Front Desk Receptionist PT

The Church at Station Hill Front Desk Receptionist is responsible to the church, under the direction of the Connection Minister, and functions as the campus’ primary point of contact during the week. This role helps maintain a welcoming and professional environment for both members and guests. Responsibilities include answering phones, managing general email correspondence, greeting and assisting visitors, handling mail and deliveries, and providing administrative support to the Missions Minister.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities:Serve as the church receptionist by greeting visitors, answering the main telephone line, and responding to door traffic during office hours.Respond to a wide range of inquiries from routine questions to benevolence-related calls by providing accurate information or directing individuals to the appropriate staff member.Schedule and manage door access systems in coordination with weekly building use.Accept deliveries and distribute mail daily.Assign and maintain the Station Hill Minister-on-Call schedule on as weekly basis.Manage staff office supplies and monitor, order, and maintain recurring monthly subscriptions.Missions Ministry Support:Coordinate logistics for missions meetings and events, including room scheduling, ordering food, and purchasing supplies.Submit communication requests for mission journeys, trainings, and events.Assist with preparing, proofreading, and distributing missions communications.Process administrative financial tasks, including invoices, reimbursements, and check requests.Maintain accurate records related to missions participation, meetings, and events.Prepare mission journey policy packets.Assist the ESL Coordinator by maintaining classroom reservations and purchasing curriculum as needed.Provide administrative assistance with printing, copying, and scanning for ESL Coordinator and Senior Care TeamOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:Provide vacation coverage for the Campus Administrative Assistant as needed.Oversee campus Lost and Found, including identifying and contacting individuals when possible to coordinate pick up of items.Maintain, secure, and reconcile church credit card, including collecting receipts and completing reconciliation.Assist ministerial and administrative staff with special projects as needed as time allows.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.COMPETENCIES AND TRAITS:In addition to the specific responsibilities required for this role, Brentwood Baptist Church also seeks candidates that possess some general competencies and behavioral traits that enhance the effectiveness of our staff.Individual ContributionManages details, tasks and projects efficiently without frequent reminders.Maximizes time effectively by focusing on “must do” priorities when necessary.Anticipates/avoids problems or formulates creative solutions.Makes timely decisions that produce quality outcomes.Adheres to commitments, schedules and deadlines.Team ContributionDemonstrates flexibility, adapts well to changing priorities or situations.Self-directed and proactive, level of supervision required is appropriate.Is willing to take on additional responsibilities, helps with a “can-do” attitude.Collaborates well with others to accomplish group tasks.Uses written and verbal communication in a way that accomplishes intended results.Self-DevelopmentPrioritizes and accomplishes self-development goals.Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to obtaining the KASH necessary to be successful in this role.Teachable spirit with a desire to learn and grow.Maintains appropriate gap between the current job description and the employee’s current abilities that allows for future growth.QUALIFICATIONS:Closely identifies with the mission, vision, values, theology, philosophy, and methodology of Brentwood Baptist.Mature and growing in their faith by practicing spiritual disciplines such as Bible reading and prayer.Works well collaboratively in a team environment.Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.Maintains a pleasant and professional phone manner.Dependable, discreet, friendly, and professional in conduct and appearance.Meets the Brentwood Baptist employee benchmark for computer competency.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university is preferred.Experience in secretarial and administrative tasks.Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the local church or Christian ministry context is preferred.All campuses function under the governance of Brentwood Baptist Church.
