Description Title: Program Coordinator, Stewards Individual Placements Starting Salary Range: The starting salary for this position will be in the $22.93-$23.61 per hour range, depending on experience, education, and skills relevant to the position. Please note that the indicated starting salary range describes the range for an incumbent in this position. Most new staff generally start at the beginning of the range percentile to ensure internal salary equity. Location: Fully remote eligible within the contiguous United States only. Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 1-Year Term - Currently planned as 12-month/52-week position from the Start Date. The position may be converted to permanent, if funding allows. Program Summary: Stewards Individual Placement Program (Stewards), a program of Conservation Legacy, places individual placements across the nation in projects that build capacity, improve access to natural resources, develop and support innovative solutions, develop opportunities for service and economic development, and empower leaders. Stewards focuses on federal partners such as National Park Service, US Forest Service, and Bureau of Indian Affairs, along with multiple state and local governments and non-profits. Position Summary: The Program Coordinator implements and supports initiatives within Stewards Individual Placements. This position coordinates program initiatives by interacting with Conservation Legacy staff as wel as newly selected members and site supervisors. The Program Coordinator ensures all assigned positions are recruited successfully and oriented to the program before their term starts. The Program Coordinator also ensures the members are oriented with program policy and procedures, are supported during the term of service, and will fully exit members from the program. Outcomes & Functions of Position: General Administration
- Provides high level customer service to potential applicants, current participants, partnering services, and internal staff.
- Recruits members in accordance with host site wishes.
- Ensures details of each member's orientation, during service, and exit documents are accurately achieved by complying with internal checks and balances.
- Coordinates and implements hiring and exiting systems with Program Directors to ensure all employee files are compliant with State, Federal, and AmeriCorps requirements and expectations.
- Assists Stewards leadership with other administrative responsibilities, including, but not limited to, participant outreach, internal staff communication, and training.
- Assists with AmeriCorps hour tracking and delivery of bi-weekly member payroll.
- Tracks and administers member professional development funds.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Oversees member data tracking through fact oversight and management.
- Coordinates each member's required orientation tasks and exiting tasks to ensure they are completed correctly within deadlines.
- Ensures members receive welcome emails and orientations.
- Processes required employment paperwork upon member start.
- Answers member questions, engages with members about their terms, professional development, and other growth opportunities.
- Assists site supervisors with conflict and performance management, if needed, and is prepared to act as liaison in difficult scenarios.
- Assists site supervisors with troubleshooting communication barriers, behavioral issues, or performance issues.
- Works with site supervisors to assist with details before, during, and after member's terms regarding timesheet approval, programmatic expectations, position details, evaluations and general timelines.
- Collaborates with Program Director to ensure AmeriCorps slots are properly tracked and filled.
- Documents and processes incidents through Conservation Legacy's established Worker's Compensation protocols.
- Assists in other member activities including, but not limited to, timesheets, payment disbursement, quantitative and qualitative reports, etc.
- Regularly reviews and compiles member mid-term and final reports.
- Works with Program Director to collect, edit, and package reports for Conservation Legacy, AmeriCorps, and program partners.
- Successfully engages, leads, and supports a positive work environment for all within the organization and the communities we serve.
- Leads and/or participates in organizational-wide teams, projects, and initiatives that support the work of the Strategic Plan goals.
- Reports any potential complaints within the organization as identified in the Personnel Policy Manual.
- Assists or leads other responsibilities, as assigned.
- Ability to hold others, in remote locations, accountable to expectations.
- Ability to work well with others and to seek assistance when needed to carry out assignments.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and capacity to work in a fluid, changing work environment.
- Must be able to pass Conservation Legacy's criminal history check requirements.
- Previous experience with youth development/corps field, AmeriCorps, or work with BIPOC communities.
- Proficient in computer programs, databases, and social media, including the Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
- Attention to detail and experience inputting large volumes of data.
- Exhibits a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits the ability to work effectively on diverse teams or with a variety of populations, including those underrepresented at our organization and those of BIPOC communities.
- Experience with influencing diverse groups of emloyees to achieve common goals.
- Exhibits the ability to communicate effectively, manage complexity, cultivate innovation, and drive and influence results for oneself and others.
- Valid Driver's License and an insurable driving record.
