Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Farmers Insurance Agent , you will work directly with individuals, families, and businesses to help them understand and protect what matters most to them.

You will:

• Develop new client relationships through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement
• Consult with customers regarding insurance and financial solutions based on their individual needs
• Build and manage a growing client portfolio
• Create and execute sales and marketing strategies
• Develop strong customer relationships that generate retention and referrals
• Establish yourself as a trusted insurance professional within your community
• Work toward increasing levels of leadership and responsibility
• Recruit, develop, and lead a team as your business grows
• Receive coaching, training, and support from an experienced Farmers District team

Successful candidates often come from backgrounds such as insurance, sales, banking, mortgage lending, real estate, automotive sales, recruiting, hospitality, management, education, or other customer-facing professions.

However, previous insurance experience is not required.

Training & Support

You will not be expected to figure everything out on your own.

Farmers provides access to extensive training, resources, technology, product education, and professional development. Our District team also provides hands-on coaching and support as you learn the business and develop your sales and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Comfortable working toward defined production goals

• Ability to obtain required insurance licenses
• Ability to satisfy applicable Farmers appointment and eligibility requirements

Prior insurance experience and an existing insurance license are helpful, but not required for the right candidate.
