Choices of Alabama is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Join a collaborative outpatient practice where providers enjoy professional autonomy, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Alabama families. Immediate full caseload available. This position is replacing an established provider, allowing for continuity of care and a full schedule from the start.
Position Highlights

• Outpatient mental health practice only
• No call
• Flexible telehealth/in person schedule (part-time)
• 1099 Independent Contractor
• 80% collections split
• Established, full caseload available. Step into an existing patient panel with immediate opportunities to provide care.

Compensation This opportunity is available due to the departure of a long-standing provider. The incoming provider will assume an established client caseload, ensuring continuity of care and a full schedule from day one. This position is offered as an Independent Contractor (1099). Providers receive 80% of collected revenue, with Choices of Alabama retaining 20% to cover administrative services, billing, scheduling, credentialing, office operations, and practice support. This arrangement allows you to enjoy the benefits of private practice while avoiding the expense and administrative burden of managing your own office.

Qualifications Psychiatrist

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Alabama medical license

OR Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

• Current PMHNP certification
• Alabama APRN license
• DEA registration 

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of independent outpatient PMHNP experience.
  
• Current Alabama CRNP license and active DEA registration.
• Experience managing ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and prescribing Schedule II controlled substances.
• Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric medication treatment with minimal supervision after orientation.
