Description: Facility is a Level III Trauma Center. It has a Level III NICU and Magnet Designation. Primary Stroke Center is part of the facility. The facility comprises 636 beds. Unit Information includes 5 diagnostic beds, 2 fluoro beds, 1 video swallow bed, 2 diagnostic rooms in the clinic, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room. Average daily patient census is 15-20 per tech. Patient types include Inpatient, Outpatient, ED, and Procedural, covering all age ranges with minimal pediatric cases. Required skills include experience with ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases. Surgical/Procedure experience is necessary with specific focus on orthopedic, general, and spine surgeries. Familiarity with O-arm is preferred. Support within the department consists of a lead tech on first shift and a radiologist available 24/7. There are 14 techs on the day shift, 7 on second shift, and 3 on the third shift. RT is available 24/7, along with hospitalists and intensivists. Technology used includes EMR, X-ray equipment from GE and Fuji, and PACS from McKesson. The department has GE 9900 and Elite C-arms and Medtronic O-arms. Floating is not required. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. On-call shifts are required with a schedule divided into three shifts. Holiday expectations include one holiday per contract. RTO approval should go through the manager. Scheduling is M-F with every other weekend, and a day off during the week leading up to the work weekend and one day off the week following the work weekend. Unit culture is fast-paced with a high acuity of patients. Surgery scrubs are provided in-house.
