Therapist – Group & Individual Therapy

Location: Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary School, Cincinnati, Ohio

About the Role

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven Therapist to support youth and families through a combination of Day Treatment programming and individual therapy services. This role follows a school schedule with school breaks off. 

This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering individual and group therapy, supporting behavioral and emotional development, responding to crisis situations, and helping children achieve their treatment goals in a school-based environment.

The Therapist plays a critical role in creating a safe, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered environment. This position works closely with families, school personnel, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Client Services

• Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with children and families.
• Facilitate structured group therapy using evidence-based interventions within the Day Treatment program.
• Provide individual therapy services based on client treatment goals, clinical needs, and identified strengths.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Implement Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Utilize CPI and de-escalation strategies during crisis situations.
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, caregivers, and school personnel.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision, case consultation, and treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external providers to coordinate client care.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to support client, program, and organizational goals.
• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with school and community partners.

Quality & Compliance

• Utilize clinical and program outcome data to inform treatment decisions and monitor client progress.
• Maintain compliance with agency policies, professional licensure requirements, billing regulations, HIPAA, and ethical standards.
• Complete all required trainings and maintain applicable certifications.

Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities

• Complete clinical documentation and billing accurately and within established timelines.
• Utilize Credible reports and data tools to monitor client outcomes and performance metrics.
• Ensure therapy and group spaces remain organized, safe, and properly supplied.
• Complete other administrative and program responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC license in the State of Ohio.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience working in office, school, and/or mental health treatment settings.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and providing individual counseling services.
• Ability to implement behavior modification strategies and therapeutic interventions.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced therapeutic environment serving youth.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary: $46,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Includes school breaks off, working a 10-month schedule.
