Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Outpatient Surgery – Santa Rosa, CA 95405 Start Date: September 21, 2026 Location: Santa Rosa, California Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (primarily 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, occasionally 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM). Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends, no holidays, and no call. Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM depending on daily assignment. PACU nurses are expected to stay until the end of the day as there is no shift relief. Highlights: Work exclusively Monday through Friday with no weekend, holiday, or call requirements Outpatient surgery setting with all patients discharged home the same day Daily census of approximately 10 patients across 4 rooms Acute care facility with Epic charting system (preferred experience) Opportunity to work in Pre-op, Phase I PACU, and Phase II Recovery areas 91-day assignment with potential for extension Requirements: Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS Experience with outpatient/ambulatory surgery, pre-op assessment, PACU Phase I and II, and procedural sedation Proficiency in various surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and gynecology procedures Epic charting experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Willingness to float to Main PACU if needed Why Join Us?
