Phlebotomist Floater

Float Phlebotomist Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. This role requires working at multiple sites in Waukegan, Gurnee, Round Lake Beach, Zion, North Chicago, and Deerfield. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must be from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. Proven track record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. At least 21 years of age. Employment Terms Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am–8:00pm and rotating Saturdays. Scheduled for 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $17.75–$24.50 per hour. Float Phlebotomists may receive an additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan.
