Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (Direct Hire) Schedule: Shift: Evenings (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) Workdays: Monday-Friday, alternating weekends and holidays Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week Pay Rate: $41.74-$52.04 per hour Job Summary The Radiologic Technologist performs routine and special diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator. The role includes preparing and positioning patients, producing high-quality diagnostic images, assisting radiologists during procedures, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring radiation safety and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and special diagnostic X-ray procedures. Prepare and correctly position patients for imaging exams. Produce high-quality diagnostic images and verify image quality. Assist radiologists during procedures as needed. Follow radiation safety standards to minimize patient and staff exposure. Perform equipment quality assurance and report equipment issues. Process digital images and prepare CDs when required. Document patient information using Meditech, RIS, and PACS. Communicate urgent findings ("wet reads") to physicians when appropriate. Provide clinical instruction to radiography students. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in on-call, overtime, holiday, and emergency coverage as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma (Required) Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (Required) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Strong attention to detail and patient care skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Required Certifications ARRT (RT)(R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists BLS (AHA) - Within 90 days of hire New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License (or Limited Permit upon hire) DOH IV Certification - Within 180 days of hire Image Gently & Image Wisely Radiation Safety Pledge - Within 180 days of hire #J-18808-Ljbffr Pride Health
