Thermal QA Automation Engineer
Team: Thermal SQA
Time zone requirement: Onsite 5 days/week (Cupertino and San Diego)
Role: Thermal QA Automation Engineer (2x)
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and execute tests to validate Hardware/Software for Thermal Control Systems on Apple products.
- Analyze automation test results for failures, identifying issue trends, and quantifying impact.
- Execute Manual tests and analyze test results.
- Isolate and report defects effectively quantifying customer impact, and verify fixes through regression testing and other test methodologies.
- Maintain existing automation framework and develop new automated test cases.
- Work closely and collaborate with cross functional team members.
Skill Requirements:
- Solid Python coding
- Solid QA skills
Other Requirements:
- Learn quickly how to install thermocouples on devices.
- Able to kick off automated test scripts.
- Able to monitor tests that are running in the thermal chambers.
- If tests fail use documented debugging steps to troubleshoot, running manual tests.
- Keeping labs neat and clean.
- Working experience on cellular call boxes like Keysight, CMW etc. - Nice to have.
- Understanding of automation frameworks - Nice to have.
- Understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau) - Nice to have.
