This role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and governing SAP Finance applications, contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.The ideal candidate combines strong finance and accounting knowledge with deep SAP functional expertise and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a global environment.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: SAP Finance Functional SupportAct as the primary functional expert for SAP Finance modules, including: General Ledger (GL)Accounts Payable (AP)Accounts Receivable (AR)Fixed Assets (FA)Cost Center Accounting (CCA)Internal OrdersProfit Center Accounting (PCA)Product CostingCOPA (where applicable)Lead system design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support activities.Provide strategic guidance on SAP Finance roadmap and future-state capabilities.Business PartnershipCollaborate with Finance and Accounting leadership to understand business objectives and requirements.Translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions and process improvements.Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, and solution design sessions.Serve as a trusted advisor for finance process transformation initiatives.Project and Enhancement DeliveryLead SAP projects, upgrades, rollouts, acquisitions, and integration initiatives.Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications.Coordinate activities among business users, technical teams, consultants, and vendors.Ensure successful execution of testing, training, and change management activities.Production Support & GovernanceProvide leadership for SAP Finance support activities.Troubleshoot complex issues and drive root cause analysis.Establish and maintain application governance, support models, and documentation standards.Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.Financial Process OptimizationIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.Improve controls, compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.Data, Reporting, and AnalyticsPartner with reporting teams to support financial reporting requirements.Ensure integrity and accuracy of finance master data.Support integrations between SAP and reporting/analytics platforms.MUST HAVES: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.8+ years of experience supporting SAP Finance solutions.5+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO functional analysis and configuration.Involvement in 3 or more full lifecycle SAP projects from start to finish.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and controls.Experience leading SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.Proven ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.The ability to work in-office three days/week (Tu/Weds/Thurs) in adherence with our required hybrid work environment (Office Locations: Melville, NY; Aurora, IL; Louisville, KY; Austin, TX)WE VALUE: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.SAP certification in Finance or related modules.Knowledge of Treasury, Group Reporting and US GAAP requirements.Experience in manufacturing or complex multinational environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.Key CompetenciesSAP FI/CO ExpertiseFinancial Systems StrategyBusiness Process ImprovementChange ManagementAnalytical ThinkingCross-Functional CollaborationContinuous ImprovementSuccess MeasuresThe Lead SAP Finance Analyst will be successful by:Maintaining stable and efficient SAP Finance operations.Reducing manual finance processes through automation.Improving financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.Enhancing user satisfaction and adoption.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: Opportunity to work in a global company with a collaborative culture, diverse cross-functional teams and meaningful impact.
