If you're the technician everyone turns to when other shops can't figure it out, Clutch Automotive wants to meet you.

Our Friendswood location is growing fast, and we're looking for an experienced A-Level Diagnostic Technician to join an already strong team. You'll work alongside a Master Technician—not carry the entire diagnostic workload yourself—and you'll have the support, equipment, and steady car count needed to consistently produce 50+ flag hours per week.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of independent automotive electrical diagnostic experience REQUIRED
• 3+ years performing Digital Vehicle Inspection REQUIRED
• Experience using Tekmetric or similar shop management software REQUIRED
• Ability to consistently produce 50+ flag hours weekly
• Strong diagnostic abilities with minimal comebacks
• Own professional tools, including diagnostic scan tools
• ASE Certifications are a plus (not required)
• Valid driver's license
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and light European vehicles
• Utilize Tekmetric and factory scan tools
• Perform accurate Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs)
• Complete repairs efficiently with minimal comebacks
• Perform quality control inspections before vehicle delivery
• Maintain strong productivity and workflow
• Help mentor younger technicians when appropriate
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
