Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Healthcare) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide consultation weekly to behavioral health care management team members on staff, such as LCSW's, LMHC's, Master's Level Therapists, etc. Provide consultation and education as needed to other providers, such as physicians and other APP practitioners in the organization. Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments Diagnose and treat mental health disorders Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals Conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, and provide supportive therapy as clinically indicated. Document patient care in electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulations and standards Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) activities, including regularly scheduled meetings, clinical audits and peer review. Advise the Risk Manager and/or Chief Medical Officer of any situations that may adversely impact the efficiency of the medical or behavioral health department. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative, fellow peers, and other work related outside agencies. At all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues, clients and the community. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
