ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location Fredericksburg, TX

General Information This unit features a total of 10 beds and is staffed by 12 personnel, ensuring a focused and supportive environment for patient care.

Unit Details

Staff Structure: Day Shift 1 Charge Nurse, 1 RN (7 AM - 7 PM) Night Shift 1 Charge Nurse, 1 RN (7 PM - 7 AM)
Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
Available Equipment: Pillips monitors HillRom beds Omnicell GE EKG machine Lifepak 20e defibrillator Lucas device Verathon bladder scanner
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech Expanse

Qualifications To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Required Experience: At least 3 years of recent ICU experience.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a charge role is beneficial, demonstrating the ability to multi-task and work independently.

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Work Schedule Shifts are available from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a rotation of every other weekend. No on-call duty is required.
