Tradewinds Deli Cook, Full-Time, Evening Shift, $15.00/hr +tips(schedule subject to change)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cook I is responsible for safely preparing food items, following menu specifications and standard recipes, for service to guests in all outlets while maintaining the standards of the NPS program. Must strive for the highest possible standards of food preparation and presentation in each food outlet.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive.

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment including but not limited to slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles.
• Must keep the work station clean at all time.
• Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all menu items.
• Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
• Must portray an outgoing friendly attitude towards customers during daily interaction.
• Responsible for following proper cash handling practices. Safeguards company assets at all times.
• Must be able to use Micros Point of Sale system including entering coupons, vouchers and food comps.
• Act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a "yes we can" attitude, every guest every time.
• Comply with our drug & alcohol free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause and post-accident drug tests.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, food preparation equipment, cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Walking/Standing 100% of which 10% is bending/lifting (overhead up to 50lbs repetitively and push/pull 150 lbs )
• Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
• Must wear black, slip resistant shoes at all times.
• Ability to work fast paced with a sense of urgency.
• To encourage and abide by all health codes and hand washing guidelines

What You Will Need

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in order to read recipes and communicate with other employees.
