Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, including ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide support for billing and reimbursement processes as needed.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proven experience in medical coding, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in coding software and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) a plus
