Terminal ManagerThis position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region.Essential FunctionsPromote and develop safe work behaviors in line with the company’s safety programs and objectivesMonitor hours of service for drivers; maintain compliance with all company and government regulations and policiesSupervise performance of drivers to achieve incident free deliveries of every loadLead, manage, evaluate, and develop staff personnelForecast terminal performance; evaluate performance and take corrective action to meet expense and financial forecastEngage local customers regularly to drive growth and enhance relationshipsEnsure maximum asset utilizationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industryExcellent conflict resolution skillsEffective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influenceBasic understanding of Microsoft OfficeNote: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
