Service Meat and Seafood Clerk

The primary purpose of the Seafood/Meat Service clerk is to provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with seafood/meat selections including cutting, cleaning, and preparing items to customers' specifications. A Seafood/Meat Clerk provides a high level of prompt and friendly customer service, assists customers with questions and special orders, and needs, while maintaining a positive, customer-focused work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and achieve maximum sales. Provides polite friendly greetings and interacts with all customers as they approach the department. Prepares knife‑ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to our standards. Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage. Stocks and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in the sales area. Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor. Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date. Communicates customer's requests/concerns to management.
