Duties and Responsibilities

• General maintenance and operation of the campus electrical system
• Project layout and planning, underground installations, thin wall and rigid conduit raceway systems• and installing services, switchboards and panels; as well as floor dud installations; installing splicing and terminating wires and cables; and cable tray installation.
• Installation of fiber optic cable and services, data and telephone cable, and troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical devices, magnetic devices, lighting and power circuits, equipment and machinery, control circuits and devices.
• Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve all emergency calls during work hours, after hours, weekends-and holidays
• Estimate on materials and time needed to complete job...
• Install, repair and troubleshoot centrifugal, submersible, rotary and multistage pumps.

Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum of two years documented experience as a State of Montana journeyman electrician licensed required.
• Working knowledge of standard electrical practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment, safety precautions;
• Skilled in the use of related hand and power tools;
• Ability to work from blueprints, plans, sketches and specifications;
• Ability to communicate effectively with personnel, clients, supervisors, etc.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
