As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You\'ll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of bus terminals, platforms, passenger waiting areas, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe passenger activity, helping to deter unauthorized access, prohibited conduct, and potential security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations in accordance with site procedures. Maintain clear, professional communication with transit personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public while completing required reports and logs. Minimum Requirements: Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Have at least six months of security-related experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
