Internship - Volunteer Program

The Landmark Center - Chesapeake, VA 23324 Description Target Candidate : We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern; with knowledge and skills related to Nonprofit Leadership and Management and/or Human Resources. The intern must be enrolled in an undergraduate program. Location : The Landmark Center, 1001 Poindexter St. Chesapeake, VA. 23324 Hours of Operation : Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (flexible intern hours) Intern Responsibilities : Gain a working knowledge of the ForKids mission, the ForKids brand, and Services Department Goals Assist the Volunteer team with surveying and documenting ForKids department(s) volunteer needs Assist the Volunteer team with maintaining volunteer schedules, creating tasks and supervising volunteer task completion Cultivate positive relationships with volunteers, using phone or email as needed to provide recognition and support Where applicable, assist the Volunteer team in data management and collecting feedback for reports; maintain confidentiality of volunteers and partners Attend agency staff meetings/training and assist with agency/community events Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain positive relationships Ability to manage multiple tasks and problem-solve #J-18808-Ljbffr Forkids, Inc.
