BartenderJob Type: Seasonal- Part TimeDepartment: A la Carte- Grays RestaurantReports to: Dining room manager(s)- GraysJob Summary: To provide timely service to all bar patrons, to maintain a clean and organized bar, and to assist runners, bussers and servers. Be the face of the League and be responsible for guests' experiences. The goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us attract regular members and maintain the highest standard. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in an interactive, refined workplace, we would like to meet you.Responsibilities:Organize and set up the bar with special attention to detailsCompile daily requisitions and restock barTake and serve food and beverage ordersAnswer questions or make recommendations for seasonal and specialty item including custom cocktails and wine by the glassCollaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staffDeal with complaints or problems with a positive attitudeCorrectly and accurately ring member chits and accept paymentBe knowledgeable about the Union League's properties and hours of operation, events, etc.Other duties to be determined.Requirements:Proven dining restaurant experiencePast professional bartending experienceKnowledge of common drinks recipes memorizedSufficient knowledge of mixology, beverage service, and basic sanitation requiredAttention to cleanliness and service detailsPatient and guest-oriented approachExcellent people skills with a friendly attitudeResponsible and trustworthyRAMPS certified (voucher code can be provided once on-boarded)ServSafe preferredFlexible schedule, nights and weekends, mandatory holidaysCompensation: Will receive hourly rate of $7.25, in addition to by hours worked share of the service charge pool.Mandatory Work Days Include (But are not limited to):New Year's EveSpring Ball (Saturday in first two weeks of April)Easter SundayMother's DayFather's DayIndependence Day celebration (Friday before 4th of July)Thanksgiving DayMember Guest Weekend
