Medical Receptionist

Medical Receptionist Rockville, MD
Pay From: $20/hr.
MUST:
- Experience Medical Receptionist
- Must have 3+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Must have experience working with EMR
- Must have experience scheduling appointments
- Must have experience handling insurance verifications
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have experience working with adult and pediatric populations
DUTIES:
- Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
- Verifies patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
- Updates patients' charts so that the information is entered correctly
- Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed
- Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
- Obtain prior authorizations for care
- Answer phones taking patient demographic information
- Other duties as assigned
