This position is located in Mankato, MN.Machinist SummaryThe Toolmaker role is responsible to create precision tools to aid in the company’s manufacturing processes. This position will include grinding, turning, and milling material to create the required parts and jigs. Will assist in the design of the parts and jigs in CAD software and/or will interpret blueprints from the organization’s product designers. This position requires troubleshooting abilities of production issues, being able to drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Must be able to communicate effectively across all departments and platforms.Machinist ResponsibilitiesProficiency in reading, using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers and indicators, operating toolroom equipment and skilled in CAD/CAM softwareProgram CNC and manually operated toolroom equipmentAbility to work with tight tolerances and capable of trouble-shooting tooling and fixturing issuesPerform maintenance on your machinesMaintain excellent housekeeping and follow 5S principlesMachinist Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED certificateTechnical Trade School or Associated Degree in Machine Tool Technology3-5 years tool and die making experienceMachinist SkillsStrong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorksEOE/Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled.
