POSITIONPURPOSE:

TheDockmasterisoftenthefirstpersonourcustomerswillinteractwithwhenarrivingbyvessel.TheDockmasterisa strongand motivatingleaderresponsiblefortheoveralloperationofthedocks.Thisincludesschedulingofdockhands,communicationwith vessel captains, reservations, maintainingoverall safety and cleanlinessofthemarina, fueloperations, providing thehighestlevel ofguestservices,concierge,trainingofnewteammembers,andsecuringthemarinaandvesselsintheeventofinclement weather.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sets and provides the highest level of customer/guest services and expedites any and all requests from vessels Schedules and manages all dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats, fuel, black water pump outs, connecting and monitoring utility services, and waste disposal. Leads the dockhands by example. Performsdailyinspectionofthedocks,workswith maintenancemanagerinscheduling generalrepairand maintenance ofthedocksinordertomaintainsafetyandcleanlinessstandardsandtoidentifyissuesrequiringmaintenance,repairor replacement. Routinelyoperates,motorandwatervehiclesandothervariousmechanized equipment

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE:

A broad knowledge of marina operations, boat lifting, boat handling and towing, and equipment maintenance Ability to manage and motivate staff A positive attitude, the ability to communicate proficiently, and ability to relate to customers in a luxury environment Understandingofcommonmarinaoperationaldocumentationsuchasagreements,contracts,termsandconditions, marina regulations and must be able to analyze them

WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Mustbeabletoindependently lift,carry, push,andpulluptothirty(30)pounds Mustbeable toswimorbewilling towearapersonal flotationdeviceininstancesof emergency Mustbeabletoperformsimplegrasping,finemanipulation,andrepetitivehand&armmovementsfrequently,and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally Must be able to express oneself and effectively convey directions and clear instructions to a team of individuals
