Environmental Services Aide

Facility Cleaner

Daily cleaning of rooms, walls, windows and floors, as well as polishing/washing down furniture to preserve the physical assets of the facility, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that regulations are observed in a quality fashion.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.

Type Equipment Required/Used:

Mops, bucket, broom, dust pan, dust mops, cleaning rags & brushes, vacuum cleaner, goggles, and household cleaning chemicals/fluids/furniture polishes.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable in general cleaning techniques.
• In performing cleaning duties, must be sensitive to not create any potentially unsafe conditions for residents and take appropriate actions to minimize these conditions.
