A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher near Sunnyvale, CA—ideal for compassionate educators skilled in adapting instruction and championing student success.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet individualized goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain records
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement tailored instructional plans for students with special needs
- Assess student abilities and track progress toward academic and behavioral objectives
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver integrated services
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress reviews
- Cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom environment fostering student engagement and growth
- Communicate effectively with both families and school personnel to ensure consistent support for each student
