Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Summary Crenlo is seeking a high-output Production Supervisor to drive daily production results and continuous improvement within our Manufacturing team. This role is responsible for owning line performance ‒ safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and material flow ‒ and delivering results through disciplined execution, problem solving, and accountability. Salary Compensation The compensation range for this position is $75,747 - $91,066 annually. Production Supervisor Is Expected To Run the floor, not observe it Identify problems early and solve them fast Drive both hourly teams and salaried support functions to deliver results Maintain control of materials, inventory accuracy, and system transactions Key Responsibilities (What You Will Be Measured On) Safety Enforce safety standards with zero tolerance for unsafe behavior Act immediately to correct hazards and drive a proactive safety culture Production Execution Own daily schedule attainment with no surprises Adjust labor and priorities in real time to maintain flow and hit targets Labor Efficiency Drive labor efficiency through proper staffing, line balance, and waste elimination Continuously improve Direct Labor Efficiency through disciplined execution Floor Leadership Maintain a strong, visible presence on the production floor Identify issues early and act immediately to prevent disruption Problem Solving Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions Eliminate recurring issues instead of managing symptoms Accountability Hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, and quality Coach, train, and take corrective action when standards are not met Cross-Functional Execution Drive urgency and follow-through from Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Materials Escalate and resolve issues that impact production without delay Material Flow and Inventory Control Own material flow and inventory accuracy with no production loss due to system or inventory errors Ensure accurate, real-time material transactions including receipts, moves, issues, and completions Maintain alignment between physical inventory and ERP system records Prevent disruptions caused by shortages, mis-picks, or inaccurate inventory Continuous Improvement Implement measurable improvements to cost, quality, and throughput Execute lean manufacturing principles to improve flow and eliminate waste Workforce Development Build and maintain a cross‑trained team with no single points of failure Facilitate training, coaching, and performance development Standards and Discipline Enforce high expectations for housekeeping, organization, and discipline Maintain a clean, controlled, and efficient work environment What Success Looks Like Consistently meets or exceeds production targets Improves efficiency, throughput, and cost performance over time Maintains high inventory accuracy with no production disruptions tied to material issues Builds a team that performs with minimal supervision Eliminates recurring issues through root cause problem solving Creates a culture of accountability and urgency Preferred Qualifications Lean manufacturing experience including Kaizen, standard work, and waste elimination Welding and fabrication experience Experience with production metrics such as efficiency, throughput, and scrap Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) or similar ERP systems WHO YOU ARE (Non‑Negotiables) Self‑driven and does not wait to be told what to do Accountable and owns results, good or bad Direct and communicates clearly while setting expectations Resilient and performs under pressure Results‑oriented and focused on outcomes, not activity Who Will Struggle In This Role Avoids confrontation or accountability Relies on others to solve problems Hesitates to make decisions in real time Accepts missed targets as normal What Top Performers Do Differently Run the floor constantly, not from a desk Identify and act on issues before they impact production Push both hourly and salaried teams to deliver results Improve the process every week, not just maintain it Build teams that perform even when they are not present Working Conditions/Other Work Hours/Status: The 2nd shift includes Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 1:30 am. Willingness to work every other Saturday during high‑demand periods to support production requirements and meet customer commitments.
