Applications will be accepted Wednesday, July 1, 2026 12:00 AM - Friday, July 10, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time) Supplemental Position THE FOLLOWING SUPPLEMENTAL POSITION IS OPEN FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR AT PAXON HOLLOW MIDDLE SCHOOL: Duration: 2026-2027 Season Number of Units: 6 Location: Paxon Hollow Middle School Number of Positions: 1 Job Description Supervises, coordinates, and promotes all phases of the PIAA program. The coach assumes responsibility for teaching student‑athletes the sport and utilizes demonstrations of skill development progression to teach fundamental skills and team strategy. Teaches sportsmanship and stresses responsibility to one's team and respect for others; plans and schedules conditioning activities to develop sport fitness needed to achieve a degree of individual and team success. The person is directly responsible to the principals and athletic director and works in cooperation with the faculty manager. Responsibilities Teach techniques, rules, strategies, and playing tactics. Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, and responsibility to team members. Commit to long hours and weekend work as required by the program. Conduct pre‑season and post‑season conditioning programs in accordance with PIAA and district policies. Supervise and conduct safe practices and contests. Accurately assess the talents and abilities of team members. Participate in a successful recruitment program. Demonstrate competency in coaching philosophy, knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations, MNSD School Board Policy, and Student‑Athletic Eligibility requirements. Respond to player injuries using first aid techniques. Maintain uniforms, equipment, and school facilities. Supervise bus, locker room, and team members. Monitor team members' attendance, grades, and personal conduct. Read and understand obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies. Conduct other duties as assigned by the Principal or Athletic Director. Qualifications Experience: Coaching experience preferred. Skills: Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, ability to connect and relate to middle school age students, and leadership. Education: Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; coaching certification preferred. Additional Information Frequency of meetings: Daily practices during the spring season. Approximate number of students enrolled: TBD Clearances: In accordance with school code, Act 24 and all related clearances.
