We build ships, defense systems, aerospace components, and heavy steel structures that serve critical missions - and we do it with pride.Your Mission:The Quality Technician I performs basic inspection and testing activities to ensure incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet customer and company specifications. This role works under close supervision and supports quality assurance processes within a manufacturing environment.Explore the Depth of the Role:Measure and visually inspect parts to verify conformance to specificationsApprove incoming materials, in process production, and finished goods based on documented standards.Document inspection results in reports and logsInitiate non-conformance reports as directedCommunicate required adjustments to Production SupervisorMaintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions and verifying calibration statusParticipate in training and continuous improvement initiativesSupport ISO9001 quality system requirementsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:Associate degree or technical certificate preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience0-2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read blueprints and use tape measures, calipers, and micrometersBasic Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and documentation skillsCompetencies:Upholds Safety & Quality Standards.Embodies Esprit de Corps.Relentless Customer FocusConveys Integrity, Trust & ProfessionalismExecutes with Excellence & VelocityTravel Requirements:Between facilities as needed.Physical Requirements:May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.May lift or carry 50lbs.
