Corporate Events Manager

Job Title: Event Manager - Contractor
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 5 Months
Pay Rate: $50-$60/hour W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager for a 5-month contract supporting several high-profile global markets events. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, event owners, and external vendors to ensure events are planned and executed smoothly, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of event management experience , strong project coordination skills, and experience managing complex corporate events from planning through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of multiple large-scale corporate events, working closely with event owners, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Assist with event budgets, timelines, logistics, and overall project coordination.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Marketing, Communications, Sales, and other business stakeholders.
• Manage external vendor relationships, including catering, audio/visual, décor, and other event service providers.
• Manage event websites, registration platforms, and other digital event tools as needed.
• Coordinate travel and accommodations for speakers, attendees, and staff.
• Provide on-site event management support, including registration, catering, AV coordination, and troubleshooting.
• Track event deliverables and ensure timelines and milestones are met.
• Conduct post-event evaluations, review KPIs, and provide recommendations for future events.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional event management experience.
• Experience planning and executing corporate or large-scale events.
• Financial services industry experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage event timelines, budgets, vendors, and logistics.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with event registration platforms, event websites, and other digital event tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors.
• Ability to work on-site in Jersey City, NJ as required for event planning and execution.
