We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing organization in Pennsylvania. This onsite opportunity is a Long-term Contract position and is well suited for someone who enjoys managing high-volume payables work with accuracy and consistency. The person in this role will support day-to-day invoice handling, payment activity, and account coding while helping maintain efficient financial operations. The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and offers consistent hours.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper approval before entering them into the payment workflow.
• Assign correct general ledger or cost codes to invoices to ensure expenses are recorded appropriately.
• Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner while maintaining organized and up-to-date records.
• Prepare and support check run activities, helping ensure vendors are paid according to established schedules.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams and vendors to clarify pricing, quantities, or missing details.
• Maintain accurate documentation for payments, invoice statuses, and related accounts payable activity.
• Assist with routine reconciliation and follow-up work to keep outstanding payables current and properly tracked.• Previous experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support position.
• Hands-on ability to process invoices accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience coding invoices to the appropriate accounts or cost centers.
• Familiarity with check runs and standard payment processing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with financial data entry.
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable working onsite in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on a permanent schedule.
