CT Technologist

Training will be conducted during day shifts. This position requires working four nights one week and three nights the following week (Wednesday to Saturday/Thursday to Saturday) from 19:30 to 07:00. No call is required.

• General Certifications: BLS/BCLS
• Allied Health Certifications: ARRT(R), ARRT(CT)

Join us in beautiful Salida, CO! The CT Technologist will deliver high-quality patient care while performing a variety of radiographic and CT procedures. This role necessitates consistent professionalism and attention to the specific needs of patients, including those who are pregnant, injured, ill, or elderly.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide quality patient care in a professional environment while performing radiographic and CT procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Perform quality radiographic exams by:
  • Selecting appropriate technique (voltage, current, exposure time) to minimize exposure yet ensure quality diagnostic images.
  • Positioning patients correctly to capture optimum views as specified by the physician.
  • Utilizing proper shielding techniques to safeguard patients and staff, ensuring a safe environment.
• Conduct quality CT exams by:
  • Selecting proper protocols based on orders from physicians and radiologists.
  • Applying proper techniques in line with ALARA principles for both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Positioning patients effectively for optimal imaging.
• Perform quality MR exams by:
  • Appropriate protocols are utilized based on physician and radiologist orders.
  • Utilizing an MRI safety questionnaire to ensure patient safety prior to entering the MRI room.
  • Effective patient positioning for quality imaging.
• Transport patients to and from the department, providing assistance as needed.
• Ensure all required consent forms are signed prior to examinations and gather comprehensive patient history.
• Complete necessary reaction sheets and histories as required for all patients, communicating any allergies as needed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.
• Perform radiographic procedures in multiple settings, including operating rooms and emergency areas, using portable equipment safely and efficiently.

Education and Experience

Must have graduated from an ARRT-accredited program and hold current registration by the ARRT (R)(CT) or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of CT experience is required.
