Special Access Program (SAP) & Multi-Discipline Security Specialist

Serve as a frontline guardian of vital national defense capabilities. In this mission-critical role, you will protect the organization against espionage, terrorism, and unauthorized disclosure by administering robust Special Access Program (SAP), Collateral, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security operations across the entire directorate.

What you will accomplish:

- High-Stakes National Defense: Protect the nation's most sensitive defense technologies and operational secrets from sophisticated threats.

- Comprehensive Multi-Discipline Scope: Broaden and apply your expertise across the full spectrum of security disciplines, including Physical, Personnel, Industrial, Information, and Operations Security (OPSEC).

- Serve as a core member of the SAP security management team, guiding personnel, managing clearances, and shaping security culture across multiple classifications.

- SAP & Multi-Enclave Administration: Administer, monitor, and enforce comprehensive security protocols across Collateral, SAP, and SCI programs.

- Threat Mitigation & Asset Protection: Defend personnel and facilities against espionage, terrorism, sabotage, and compromise of vital mission assets.

- Personnel & Incident Management: Manage the end-to-end personnel clearance lifecycle, deliver specialized security training, and lead investigations into security incidents.

- Force Protection & Operational Security: Coordinate and execute Antiterrorism, Force Protection, Communications Security (COMSEC), and OPSEC measures to ensure uninterrupted mission operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty

- Designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.

- Obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties

- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise

- May require the employee to work outside the normal business hours

- This position is a designated National Security Position

- Designated drug testing position

- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirement(s) may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative. Special Programs Security Credential (SPSC) is recommended, but not required.

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices to independently manage assigned programs.

2. Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) mission, functions, and structure to the unit level to ensure effective implementation and oversight of special programs security concepts, principles, and practices.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of all Information Security disciplines and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures.

4. Knowledge of General Supply Administration (GSA) specifications; state-of-the-art detection and surveillance systems, construction standards, automated data processing systems and other security concepts to integrate the requirements of all security disciplines into guidance for the implementation and management of the Air Force Material Command (AFMC) special programs information security program.

5. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies, accomplish projects, and effectively evaluate results for the effective management and completion of programs.

6. Able to effectively manage and organize various program activities and tasks, singularly and together, and familiar with administrative requirements of United States of Air Force (USAF) and AFMC.
