This position can be located in our Chicago, IL or Washington, DC offices only Overview The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is a team of professionals dedicated to providing service to approximately 1.5 million REALTORS® working in the United States and around the world. Duties and Responsibilities Advise NAR and affiliated entities on all legal aspects of insurance policies, coverage, claims and regulatory compliance. Draft, review and negotiate insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and related insurance contract documents. Manage insurance claims, reconcile payments, and oversee dispute resolution. Provide ongoing risk management guidance to various NAR groups, teams, affiliates and subsidiaries. Design and implement NAR and REALTOR® Association policies and training regarding insurance and risk management. Oversee special projects as determined by the Legal Team. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications 7+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house counsel position is strongly preferred. Significant experience in managing an insurance portfolio, policy drafting and revising, and claims management - preferably in-house for a highly-matrixed organization or at a law firm with insurance specialization. Strong working knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and coverage analysis. Skills in contract negotiation and managing relationships with insurers and other outside third-party vendors. Results oriented with high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with timely, relevant and professional responses to all inquiries.
