Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsible for assessing, stabilizing, and managing patients presenting with a wide range of urgent medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments upon arrival to determine severity of conditions.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient responses and treatment details accurately in the electronic health record.
• Monitor critically ill patients and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
• Ensure infection control and safety procedures are consistently followed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Texas RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
• Certify completion of BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech electronic documentation system.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
