Construction Estimator

Location: Naples, FL (Potential Future Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote) Compensation: $70,000 – $100,000 Base + Performance Bonus Opportunity We are a rapidly growing construction company specializing in structural shell construction throughout Southwest Florida. Our projects include high-end custom residential homes and commercial developments, with individual project values ranging from $200,000 to over $1 million and homes valued between $2 million and $15 million . Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator who can take ownership of the estimating process from plan review through final pricing. This individual will work closely with ownership, builders, developers, and project stakeholders while helping establish estimating standards as the company continues to scale. This is more than a back-office estimating role; we're looking for someone who is comfortable discussing projects with clients, presenting estimates, and serving as a trusted technical resource. Responsibilities Review architectural and structural drawings for shell construction projects Perform quantity takeoffs utilizing estimating software and AI-assisted tools Develop accurate labor and material cost estimates Create detailed proposals and bid packages Collaborate with ownership on pricing strategy and project scope Meet with builders, developers, and clients to review estimates when necessary Analyze project risks and identify potential cost impacts Maintain current labor and material pricing databases Assist in developing standardized estimating processes as the company grows Coordinate with field operations to ensure estimating accuracy and continuous improvement Required Qualifications 5+ years of construction estimating experience Experience estimating structural, concrete, framing, foundation, or shell construction projects Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong understanding of labor productivity and material costing Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self-starter capable of working independently in an entrepreneurial environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with: Togal.AI PlanSwift Quantity takeoff software Residential and commercial construction estimating Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred but not required. Candidates with significant industry experience will also be considered.
