Transmission & Interconnection Manager

With multiple large-scale projects under development and billions of dollars in contracted revenue secured, the organization is positioned at the forefront of the energy transition and is helping meet increasing demand for reliable, clean power from utilities, data centers, and large commercial customers. The Opportunity As the company continues to expand, the Transmission & Interconnection team plays a critical role in project execution and commercial success. This position will lead behind-the-meter interconnection efforts from early-stage feasibility through agreement execution while serving as a key interface with utilities, customers, and internal stakeholders. The role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to help shape transmission and interconnection strategy for a fast-growing renewable energy platform. Responsibilities Lead behind-the-meter interconnection activities from feasibility studies through execution of interconnection agreements Manage utility and customer relationships related to interconnection and transmission matters Support project development teams with technical and commercial assessments Coordinate with internal engineering, development, and commercial teams Evaluate transmission system impacts and interconnection requirements Navigate ISO/RTO processes and utility coordination efforts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline 5+ years of experience in generation interconnection, transmission systems, or behind-the-meter power connections Experience within utilities, independent power producers, renewable energy developers, or related organizations Exposure to ISO/RTO markets and transmission planning processes Experience in renewable energy, including solar, wind, storage, or other generation technologies Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Location Houston, TX preferred Oakland, CA; Golden, CO; Reno, NV; or Salt Lake City, UT also considered Hybrid work schedule (3 days per week in office) #J-18808-Ljbffr Brightsmith
