Come bake with us and create a world of snacking that is both good, and good for you.The Supplier Quality Assurance Technician will complete regular assessment activities for verification of adherence to raw material and packaging quality standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assist with onboarding process and ongoing assessment of suppliersReview new approvals, maintain the supplier process/database in accordance to food safety and quality requirementsAssist in Food Safety Plan reviews where requiredCarry out supplier verification activities in accordance with schedule to ensure supplier risk management strategies are effectiveConduct raw material assessment activities to ensure suppliers meet or exceed quality standards and expectationsDrive improvements through reporting of non-conformance issues from suppliersKnowledge or self-motivation to understand raw material process and relevant legislation requirementsFamiliarity with food laws, regulatory guidelines, and food hazardsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:Degree in Chemistry, Food science, Microbiology, or other relevant scientific discipline preferred or previous experience in Supplier Quality Assurance/Quality Assurance in food manufacturing or food-based industry.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret quality documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply mathematical operations and concepts to solving quality process-related problems.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
