Job Title: Cardiac Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Technologist
Specialty: Operating Room
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Shift: 10
Experience: 1 year CVOR experience minimum
License: BLS preferred, CST preferred but not required
Certifications: BLS Must-Have:
Experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, and Ascending Aortic Repairs
Comfortable wearing lead
Description:
ASAP start needed.
Manager interviews will be conducted.
There are two operating rooms specific to cardiac vascular surgery.
The average number of cases performed per day is typically 3-4.
Support on the unit includes a supervisor, assistant manager, team leads, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and anesthesia techs.
Orderlies will assist with room turnover.
Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
Call is required; however, the requirement is negotiable.
Weekend rotation is included, with one weekend day recommended in a four-week schedule.
Scrub colors will be the provided surgical scrubs.
Holiday expectations are minimal and will depend on the schedule.
Approval from the manager is required for any holiday time off.
