Concrete Fabricator & Painter

Priority Personnel is hiring a Scructural Concrete Fabricator & Painterfor a company located in San Marcos, TX. Pay rate: $17.00-22.00/hour Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/7:00am-3:30pm with occasional OT Job Duties: Sculpting Duties: Sculpt and shape GFRC over rebar and lath substructures to create artistic and detailed play sculptures. Use a variety of sculpting tools and techniques to achieve textures, shapes, and designs. Collaborate with designers and engineers to realize both structural and creative goals. Participate in mold creation for concrete products. Coloring & Finishing Duties: Apply polyurethane, acrylic latex paint, and water-based concrete stains to GFRC structures and metal frames. Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming. Match finishes to design plans, blueprints, and customer specifications. Use spraying, brushing, and rolling methods to apply coatings. Inspect surfaces for coverage, consistency, and quality. General Responsibilities: Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Assist in setup and preparation of materials for sculpting and painting. Adhere to all safety procedures and wear proper PPE. Keep accurate records of work performed, time, and materials used. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in sculpture, fine arts, or painting preferred. 3+ years of experience in sculpting and/or painting concrete or similar materials. Proficient in sculpting and painting techniques, tools, and safety practices. Strong artistic skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret design plans and blueprints. Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
