The perfect candidate will possess knowledge in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of safety valves to guarantee optimal functionality and adherence to industry regulations. This role entails working with various pressure relief valves across multiple industrial environments. A relocation bonus of $10,000 is available for qualified applicants moving to North Dakota, with the company covering 100% of employee medical, dental, and vision insurance. Responsibilities Performs pressure relief valve repair in accordance with National Board Inspection Code approved quality manual. Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs. Operate equipment, including forklift, sandblaster, parts washer, propylene torch, etc. Disassemble valves without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual. Document and enter job data into the database, including photograph documentation. Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain equipment in the area, as required. Perform cleaning, blasting, and painting of valve components. Return valves/parts to proper bins, boxes, etc. Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valves per manufacturer’s repair manuals. May be required to assist in field assignments. May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on the job scope. Operate motor vehicles, as required. Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required. Requirements Basic computer knowledge. Organized and effective time management skills. Concise communication skills. Good integrity and dutifulness. Attentiveness to surroundings. A demeanor characterized by a constant eagerness to learn and ask questions. Additional experience: 5+ years as relief valve tech, stable job history, prefer clean criminal record. Must possess the ability to walk and climb, excluding non-field duty situations. Capacity to maintain focus and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications a plus. Solid working knowledge of the ASME and NBIC codes a plus.
