Chief Information Security Officer

To drive security strategy and execution, the full-time Chief Information Security Officer will partner with engineering and product teams, manage compliance and risk posture, and serve as a hands-on principal security engineer, with a hybrid work arrangement available for those near the Palo Alto, California or Toronto, Canada offices. Key responsibilities Partner with Engineering and Product teams to integrate security into platform design and operations Own Groq's security strategy, risk posture, and compliance roadmap across infrastructure and cloud Lead infrastructure and cloud security initiatives, including zero-trust architecture and incident response capabilities Required qualifications 12+ years in security, with at least 5 years in a senior hands-on technical role Experience securing GPU compute infrastructure or high-performance computing environments Proven ability to build security programs from scratch in a startup or hypergrowth environment Deep technical knowledge in cloud and infrastructure security, network security, and identity management Hands-on experience with SOC 2 Type II compliance and familiarity with ISO 27001
