Join Our Team as a Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant! Job Description:
- Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30); Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Traveler's Choice for 26 or 13 week assignments
- Caregiver Ratio: 1:20
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
- Certifications Needed: BLS
- Required Skills:
- Long Term Care (LTC) Experience
- Abnormal/Normal Vital Sign Parameters (Adult and Pediatric)
- Assist with Ambulation, Feeding, and Patient Transfers
- Bed Shampoo, Linen Changes, and Bed Baths
- PPE Usage and Isolation Precautions
- Vital Sign Monitoring including Blood Pressure, Oxygen, and Temperature
- Skin Care and Pressure Injury Prevention
- Reporting Changes in Patient Condition
- Urine/Stool Incontinence Care Additional Requirements:
- Alaska CNA license can be pending, but application must have been submitted.
- Documentation of license application required:
- Application submittal
- Application fee payment
- Fingerprints submitted
- Educational and license verifications
- Valid CNA license in another state is necessary if Alaska license is pending.
- Completion verification of a formal CNA training program required. Transportation:
- Free parking at facility.
- Shuttle transportation arranged to/from Anchorage at the start and end of the contract.
- Local shuttle available in Seward for additional transport. Important Notes:
- All caregivers obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification on-site (one-time $10 fee).
- No floating between shifts; candidates will work either Days or Nights based on facility needs.
