Specimen Processor - 2nd Shift

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor for a second-shift position in Syracuse, New York. The role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, including unpacking, labeling, routing, and shipping samples while maintaining accurate data entry and meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack, route, and accurately identify specimens for staging areas
• Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
• Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
• Resolve and document problem specimens while meeting department production goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Pass standardized color blindness test

Compensation: $17.75 - $19.00 per hour
