Human Resources Assistant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a transportation and logistics organization in the Columbus, OH area to identify a Human Resources Assistant for an immediate opening. This role will support daily HR operations while assisting with high-volume recruiting efforts and payroll administration. The position is starting on a contract basis, though there may be an opportunity for long-term employment based on business needs and performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys recruiting in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable supporting multiple HR functions.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for high-volume, frontline positions, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and applicant follow-up
  
• Coordinate onboarding activities and maintain accurate employee documentation and personnel records
  
• Assist with payroll data entry, audits, employee inquiries, and follow-up on payroll-related issues
  
• Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other HR administrative documentation
  
• Support benefit administration, employee communications, and general HR operations as needed
  
• Maintain compliance with company policies, government requirements, and confidential recordkeeping standards
  

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous recruiting experience in a high-volume, blue-collar, transportation, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environment preferred
  
• Experience with payroll data entry, or payroll administration support
  
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.50 per hour
