Chief Financial Officer

Law firm is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their Los Angeles office.


Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the firm's goals and objectives
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management on an office and departmental basis
• Lead the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to law firms
• Manage relationships with banks, tax advisors, auditors, insurance providers and other external advisors
• Provide strategic financial advice to the Managing Partner and executive committee, including compensation, KPI's, financial forecasting and risk management
• Monitor and manage the firm's financial performance, including profitability analysis, collections, billing practices, and expense control
• Build, lead and develop the firm's finance team, ensuring efficient and effective billing, reporting and collections processes
• Support the firm's strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, software implementation and business development opportunities
• Prepare and present financial reports to the executive committee and partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• MBA and/or CPA highly preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in a senior financial management role required, preferably as a CFO or Finance Director with some law firm experience

Salary Range: $225-275K
