About the Position

License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Strong ICU experience is required. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the PACU. Strong ICU experience is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience. Preference will be given to candidates with both ICU and PACU experience. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the ICU environment. The role involves providing nursing care for patients before and after surgery. Staff will support the mission of the center through clinical flexibility. Competency in titration of vasopressors and airway management is essential. Nurses will manage ventilated patients and administer blood products. Fluid resuscitation is a critical aspect of patient care. Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed. Weekend shifts and holiday work as scheduled will be required. Compliance with all patient care protocols and procedures is mandatory. Interdisciplinary support will be part of the care team. The nursing staff will handle a variety of patient diagnoses and special procedures. This is a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and teamwork.
