The ideal candidate can handle working in a bustling, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesScrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machineWash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishesClean, sanitize, and maintain dish machineUnload dishes and utensils from dish machine and organize them properlySetup or break down dishwashing areaSweep/mop floorsMaintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as neededPerform additional cleaning duties as requestedClean food prep stations and equipmentClean machines and appliances used in the kitchen like coffee makers, pots and pans, mixers, etc.Take out trash and rinse garbage cansReport kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and proceduresQualificationsVerbal communication skills requiredPositive interpersonal skills requiredAbility to understand and follow directionsWork effectively with kitchen staffHigh School diploma or GEDWorking ConditionsDays and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on low and high shelves. Ability to work in hot and damp environments.
